Barry’s agent says he wants out

I’m trying to keep an open mind until I see it reported by a more reliable source - and indeed until Barry says something himself - but this doesn’t look good. I could cry.

Fuck it all to shit.
Just wish GB would make up his mind ,he either wants to play for us or not,if not get him shipped out quick, but nothing under £15mil,and no player exchanges off the scousers, and hope he enjoys life up north.
Well according to Villa, his mind is now made. I hope it works out for him/us, especially since Juve seem to be stalling on the fee for Alonso.
What do you anticipate the reception at Villa Park will be next year if/when he runs out in red?
I think he’ll get a fine response, so long as this whole thing is tied up a timely manner, without Villa being harmed in any way. So long as we know very fucking soon what the deal will be, at least it leaves us with plenty of time to fill his shoes. It’s already gone on too long for comfort.
It doesn’t stop me being unable to fully understand his position, though. He wants to play Champions League football - ok, fine - but surely there’s far more satisfaction to be had sticking with your club and getting there in a year or two? Cos we fucking will be.
It’s a pisser that he’s on his way now that we’re on the up. When we’d just finished 16th and the future was uncertain, he was persuaded to stay. Now we’ve moved up ten places and are looking to move higher, he goes. It’s the first major backwards step we’ve had for a long time.
